Hidden? Not hardly. The WYL model carburetors were designed with the throttle body mixture screw a very, very long time ago and people were aware of it immediately after the model was used in numerous power tool applications. I was working with them as far back as 2005 and they had been placed on thr market long before that. So it's not the screw was hidden as much as your exposure to yard tool carburetors was late and limited. OTOH, people working on things need to know something about what they are doing before jumping in to do the work so the video is beneficial for some people. If and when they get good at it and fully understand what they are working on they might learn this model of carburetor provides a lot of lattitude for performance modification. The carb was designed by Walbro and their website provides a pictorial diagram of their various carburetor designs.

My air filter was little wet with gas or oil I replaced it now the new one is getting wet also any ideas I have gt 200r Thanks

No good in California. Smog check station requires the OEM cap that was removed. No modifications allowed.

I've owned one for about 10 years or so. It's been great and very reliable. I just changed the primer bulb today for the second time in its lifetime (very easy to do) and one of the fuel lines. Highly recommended but not sure it's made anymore.

I've had mine (a couple of 2100's) for around 15 years (one of 'em's trash-picked btw) and only replaced the carb, air cleaner, added an e3 plug, replaced fuel filter and fuel lines! Worked problem free for me all these years and I'm happy to still have these old dinosaurs!

Hello, O have a one of these. Thrying to get it running after one year not using it. I had emptuef out all its fuel befire storage. Now it started today but then stopped. I forgot the sequence to start.Please help, it had been a good machine.

After changing primer bulb , my Hitachi only starts when the lever is on the run position. Any ideas?

At 7:45 what did you do to the other end of primer . Id didnt see you insert that into the carburettor

Bought this 4 years ago and its been nothing but a pain. Entire cheap plastic choke broke so now the choke is my finger. Then the spool assembly broke. Then the carb setting screw loosened from its fixed position, and finally the pull cord just snapped. There are no parts diagrams anywhere. I am gentle on all my I C engines but this ones been the worst. Staff are great though, you will be calling them unfortunately

Just wanted to reply to this post. It's 2024 and my 2100 is still running new plug and filter along with a fuel line but original engine on and off again commercial use as it's our back up

Yes. I had purchased a Maruyama B27L Turbo about 4 years ago. Original plastic tank split, the second gas tank split and so far, the 3rd tank has been doing just fine. Everything was covered under warranty, the district rep acknowledged a manufacturing issue. Apparently the first replacement was exactly the same as the original tank since it only lasted 6-8 months. This last tank appeared to be a bit thicker. One thing is for sure - no more split gas tanks.

I bought this same.trimmer from Lowes around 2011 sometime. Had some problems with it the second cut it wouldn't run unless I kept it on half choke. Had to run it on half choke for a few years lol then I bought me a STIHL

Is the large screw that this one is inset into also an adjustment? Can you tell me where the other adjustments are? Got a 58cc SYX moto with a similar carb and i can tell it needs more fuel
